Chapter LXXVIII

Shifu sighed as he look upon Tien. Raine was silent as she touched Tien's crystal coffin, she took a deep breathe before turning back to face Shifu.

"You said we have to come here. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong."

Shifu nodded, looking around. "The stones have never been wrong. Something sinister is happening here." Shifu then reached into his pocket and pull five blue glowing stones out. Whispering an incantation, the stones started spinning in him palm. Suddenly, the stones turned black and fell as ash into Shifu's hand.

"What does that mean?" Raine asked.

"This means my life is about to end." Shifu said, his face worried. Just as he finished the sentence, a black lighting struck Tien's coffin. The crystal turning black and shattered. Shifu and Raine quickly sheild themselves from the shards with protective magic.

"What is going on?" Raine screamed, looking at Shifu for answers. However, she was immediately distracted when she heard a familiar voice.

"This body is amazing... Its even better than my own." Tien said, looking at his own hands, as he laid in his coffin. He then climbed out and looked at the two.

"Well, fancy meeting you here." Tien said, looking at Shifu. With a single wave of his hand, Shifu's water shield broke and his skin started to turn grey. Within moments, Shifu had turned into stone. "That was easy."

"What are you doing Tien?" Raine screamed at him. Tien turned to face her, his blue eyes started to cloud with black aura, finally turning black.

"Let me introduce myself, pretty lady." Tien said, looking straight into her frightened eyes. She couldn't move, and her powers were somehow neutralised.

"I am the eleventh prince of darkness." He said, creating a black stone sword as he smiled. "Zera. This will be the body that i will use to destroy the ANGELS. They won't even see it coming."

Finishing, he swung his sword.

Chapter LXXVII

Taking the hidden path into the ANGELS HQ, the hooded figure looked around for any guards. Today, the figure had promised not to kill. Just today, for it is a day to mourn for a close friend.

The figure levitated up the long flight of stairs leading into the hills, admiring the magic of the place. If the figure didn't possess the magical blood and eyes, there was no way to discover the place. Finally, the figure arrived at the main gates. Taking a step inside, the alarm rang.

"I knew it couldn't be that easy."

Two ANGELS suddenly materialised in front of the figure. However, before they could react, an invisible force pushed them backwards and pinned them onto the earthen hill wall. A powerful blow to the back of their necks, rendered them unconscious.

"Amazing. As to be expected of someone capable of discovering our base."

The figure turned to the source of the voice, Den. A powerful bolt of lightning brushed past the figure's head, tearing the hood away. Flowing snow white hair revealed themselves, their length reaching the figure's back. Den momentarily lost momentum. The intruder was a girl, not looking over the age of seventeen or so. Her piercing green eyes glared at him, then he felt a powerful force surround him. Unable to control his body, he could only struggle.

"You made a big mistake." She said, her voice echoing into his mind. "Why do you cover one side of your eyes? Let's see." Den's blindfold flew off, and his aura eye revealed to her. He could see the aura channeling into her mind, and her mind was releasing the magic that was binding him.

"So your powers comes from your mind." Den said, breaking his bonds effortlessly now, his aura overpowering her powers. "Now, you've made the big mistake of revealing my eye. I can see it now, your powers don't work when your opponents' aura is above you."

Pulling his blade out, Den charged towards the intruder with great speed. However, once again, he feel the force trap him and lift him off his feet. He looked at her, noticing her aura was increasing at an tremendous rate. Most of which is coming from her eyes.

Her green eyes had darker green ripples moving within her irises. "You are courting death, trying to fight a child of Heaven." She said, stretching her hand out at him. Slowly, clenching her hand into a fist. The pressure around Den increased, threatening to crush him.

"Stop it, Raine."

The pressure around Den disappeared, and he fell to the ground. As he slowly lost consciousness, he made out a tiny figure levitating on a staff beside the girl. He felt he must be seeing things. There was a teapot levitating along side the figure, then the world went black.

Chapter LXXVI

"You can't use your illusions against me." Jies said, seemingly convincing himself. "My eyes protects me against it."

Shadow laughed, his laugh shaking every bone in Jies body. "You already are in my illusion."

"Impossible. I know i am still in reality."

"Reality has already become my ultimate stage for illusions."

Waving his finger slightly above Jies's eyes, Shadow smiled and whispered a spell. Immediately, Jies felt excruciating pain in his eyes, screaming as he felt his power drain from him.

"Now that we have taken care of that, let's go into the real deal." Shadow said. Jies blinked, as his eyes slowly regained focus. He saw Shadow's eyes turn a shade redder, his wings burst apart. The feathers forcefully plunged into Jies's eyes, as his tears turned to blood.

"Feel the pain and suffering for everything single living thing you have ever hurt." Shadow said. "Experience... Redemption."


Zes got distracted when he heard a piercing scream coming from some distance away. He knew it wasn't Shadow, as Shadow's aura was still present. A demon roared behind him, swinging it's mace. However, just before it could attack, it got blasted into chunks by Zans's shockwave.

"Pay attention, brother!" Zans shouted. "That is the scream of whoever who goes against Shadow."

"Nova! How's her wound?" Nika asked, streams of lasers pouring out of her fingers at the demons.

"I'm fine." Freyia said, refusing to allow Nova to take a closer look at her blood covered arm. However, Nova's agility overpowered her and he gripped her arm. Water pour out of his hand and washed the blood away. There was no wound, there wasn't even a single scratch.

"What... how?" Nova said, looking at Freyia in shock.

"I said I'm fine, didn't I?" Freyia said, smiling. "I can't be hurt."

Chapter LXXV

Freyia looked at Shadow when suddenly an explosion erupted beside her.


"PRINCESS!" One of the elves shouted.


"She's fine." Nova said, holding Freyia in his arms. "Don't be distracted Princess. This battle is far from over." Nova said to the Princess.


"Will he be okay?" Freyia asked Nova.


"Who? Shadow? He's gonna be." Nova said as he defended a spell.


"Is he strong?" Freyia asked again.


Nova looked at the Princess, her eyes shown no emotions. "Yes he is Princess, Very strong." With that, the Princess' eyes lit up with signs of happiness.

Nova barely had time to react when he felt the axe swing behind him. He turned, trying to defend himself, when a thin beam of blue light sliced through the neck of the demon.

"What will you do without me, Nova?" Nika said, laughing as she blasted beams of concentrated light at the oncoming demons. Jies had opened a dark portal, and demons were pouring out. However, Nika couldn't see where he was, or where Shadow was.

However, Shadow's aura was shockingly present around them.

The ANGELS team quickly surrounded Nova, Freyia and the two elves. Zans quickly extended him arms out, and clapped them forcefully together. The shockwave created almost dividing the ground apart, slashing through the demon troops with malicious force.

Demon archers appeared around them, prepared to fire. However, Nika and Jaens using their power lasers, drew a circle around them. Causing a huge upheaval of earth wherever it touched.

Eva equipped her claws and dashed out towards the demons, tearing past them with amazing power and agility. Suddenly, a tail drilled out of the ground where Freyia was, the sharp scales tearing her arm.

"Princess!" The elves screamed in shock.

Chapter LXXIV

"What is this! Why can't I summon my flames!?" Jies shouted in confusion.
"You!! What have you done to me!?"

Shadow smiled. "Maybe I have been with Virgil for too long..." he said, as he examined his new wings. "...It's been awhile since I fought I like this."

Jies sensed trouble, never has he felt so powerless infront of an enemy. He concentrated on his eyes, forcefully trying to extract power from the demonic eyes.

"It won't work you know." Shadow said looking straight into Jies' eyes.

At that moment, Jies felt something go through him. He looked down, it was his own spear. With a blink of an eye, the spear disappeared.

"What-" Jies coughed as he felt a sharp pain in his palms. He tried to move his hands, but to his surprise, he was unable to. Looking at his hands, he saw his spear, impaled into his palms.

"Oh how have I missed this." Shadow said, slowly de-materializing.

"This is an illusion isn't it? Argh!" Jies shouted as he felt his legs being impaled by his own spears once again.

"An illusion you say." Shadow's voice boomed in Jie's ears. "Maybe."

Jies felt his skin tear, as if being whipped by thorns, the pain was unimaginable. "I'LL BREAK THROUGH THIS STUPID ILLUSION! I WILL!" Jies screamed, now embedded by the spears.

Shadow slowly materialized in front of Jies. looking straight into his eyes.

"I can assure you..Jies, what's about to happen next isn't just... an illusion."

Chapter LXXIII

The city burned, crumbling to rubble. The battle between Shadow and Jies had taken its toll. Shadow knelt on the blackened earth, his blood flowing from his wounds.

"You can't defeat me." Jies said. "I have already surpassed you."

Jies's looked sadly at Shadow, wishing he had been more of a challenge. He was certained that Shadow was no longer a threat. Ever since Krill gave him those eyes. The third stage of the demonic eyes.

Shadow glared at Jies, trying to fight back those dark eyes that are piercing through his aura. They were similar to the ones Deras gave to Tien, however, Jies's Demonic eyes had a red emblem seemingly burned into his irises surrounding his pupil.

"It is your time now, Shadow." Jies said coldly as he conjured a blackish red burning spear in his hand. Letting go, the spear propel at Shadow at an incredible speed.

Shadow closed his eyes, preparing for the worst. However, the spear stopped, centimeters from its target.

Time stood still.

Tien appeared behind Shadow, dressed in complete white. He touched Shadow's exposed burned back, and the wounds healed. A glowing white spot appeared where Tien touched. The spot spread, consuming Shadow fully before dissipating.

"Why fight the way that asshole Virgil does?" Tien whispered into Shadow's ear. "Go back to the way you always liked to fight. Leave no traces."

Tien faded and time continued.

Shadow felt an alarming heat in front of him, yet he was unhurt. Opening his eyes, he gazed upon black feathers. The feathers burst apart, and reformed into two black wings on Shadow's back.

Shadow's aura escalated, and the force of it caused many of the buildings nearby to disintegrate. Jies shielded himself from it, using his flames. His shield lasted a second, before his flames extinguished. Try as he could, he find himself unable to summon anymore fire.

Jies stole a look at Shadow, his gaze locked onto Shadow's eyes. Shadow's eyes had turn from his original black to reddish purple.

Fall into my world, fool.

Chapter LXXII

The Kilendian scout gasped in disbelief, the Demonian battalion that was coming to attack their fortress had been completely wiped out. He look upon the scene as the setting sun poured onto the desert ground. He had arrived just as the massacre was finishing. The killer of all the demons stood in the middle of the sea of dead bodies, clutching the demon general by it's throat. His long white hair was moving along with the desert wind, and with a shake of his head, he snapped the general's neck and flung him away.

The sun disappeared from the horizon as the killer turned to face the scout, his brilliant blue eyes piercing into the scout. The scout took in a deep breath, frozen in fear. However, the killer faded into oblivion.

"....Tien isn't dead." the scout muttered.





ANGEL's HQ

"There is no way that can be Tien." Zans said. "We know for sure."

Zen nodded as they stood in front of Tien's grave, his magically preserved body laid in front of them in a crystal coffin. His face at peace and smiling.

"It has to be an imposter." Zen said.

"Of course. However, that imposter is really strong." Jaens said from afar, approaching the brothers. "We may have to consider that this Tien in front of us isn't a highly powerful clone who Tien made for this very purpose."

"We have to head out now." Nika said, appearing out of thin air suddenly. "Shadow just paged our unit."

"Shadow is calling an elite unit out?" Jaens asked.

"It's for an escort and protect assignment." Nika briefed the team. "All of us are to go. There is a few grade S2 d.mage there, so we are to exercise caution."

"I'll go too." A female voice said behind Nika.

Nika turned and faced Eva, who had just conjured her ANGELS gear out.

"Let's go." She said.

Chapter LXXI

Shadow took a look around him. The city of Grandados was in ruins. The once vibrant city had been taken over by demons. Shadow knew he should have expected this to happen. The city was a neutral trade city, not under protection. Furthermore, it was rather close to Demonia.

"We came at a wrong time." Nova whispered to Shadow. As they observed the city from deep within a mountain pass. The city was in the middle of two mountain crossings, one towards Demonia and one towards the human cities.

A huge explosion erupted suddenly from the middle of the city. Out of the rumble and dust, a gigantic living tree sprang out and started smashing its thick branches at demons nearby. A brilliant flash of green light followed, and many demons were being strangled to death by vines that appeared out of nowhere. The source of the vines was a wooden arrow.

Just then, the tree caught fire and the vines were burnt when Jies appeared in an amazing burst of green flames.

"What is two elves and a human doing here? Courting death?" Jies bellowed. Shadow nodded to Nova who immediately dispersed himself into mist and flew towards the city. Shadow then drew a small symbol in the air, and blew into it.

Jies barely had time to react when a bright sapphire Phoenix descended onto him out of nowhere. He raised his hands and fought back at the Phoenix with his flames.

"This power, this heat." Jies exclaimed. "Shadow..."

The Phoenix burst into many balls of fire which exploded simultaneously, shrouding the whole of Granados in a cloud of blue flames.

Meanwhile, Nova returned to the Shadow with the two elves and the human. Shadow recognised the human, she was no human. She was Freyia. However, the two elves were unfamiliar to him. The male elf looked like a powerful wizard, and the female was carrying a bow, but without any quiver.

"What are elves doing so far away from your realm?" Shadow asked politely.

"We are acting upon Lord Tien's orders." the male said.

"Shadow! Let's end this!" Jies shouted suddenly, behind them.

Chapter LXX

Den's Triconium armor glew slightly blue under the sun, his right arm unarmored, his black spiky hair is now streaked with blue. His young face slightly weathered, his right eye was covered with a blue cloth. He was only using his left eye to see.

"No demon shall pass." Den whispered, however it felt like a thunderous scream to the demons.

"You cannot fool me. The White Lightning is Tien, and you are not Tien." The Demon general said and smiled. "Furthermore, we have no mage here. You are breaking the order for war, troop against troop, mage against mage."

"We do not follow that order." Den said. "We fight anything that threatens our people. Why attack us? Isn't Demonia big enough?"

"Fool... but no matter. How much damage can a fake White Lightning do?"

"That title was given to me by my mentor, the original White Lightning."

"You are the pupil of Tien?"

Den plucked a white blade out of the air. With a swift jab into the air, the blade left his hand. The blade went throught the general's heart and flew into the ground behind him, creating a huge shockwave which cause many nearby to collapse, slowly bleeding to death inside.

"That is my answer." Den said and removed the blue cloth from his eye. His right eye's iris was glowing blue, with a white cross in the middle, in the middle of the cross was his purple pupil.

He pulled a short blade from behind him, the blade was pure white. His signature light blue cloth attached to the end of the handle. He vanished from the remaining survivors' eyes, and their eyes closed forever in a matter of seconds.

Chapter LXIX

The ten thousand strong demonian troops march secretly towards the Xadian Pass, a hidden underground tunnel which will lead them straight behind the Kilendian Fortress, one of the 8 major fortress protecting man from the demons. Just as they reached the entrance, the leader saw a lone figure blocking the entrance.

The general jerked his head at the figure, and one of his subordinates sped forward on his nightmare horse.

"Who dares block the demonian army?" it said. "You must be very strong or very stupid to stand here alone."

The figure was covered in a dirt coloured robe, and he was hooded so they are unable to make out his appearance. The demon approached closer and detected a faint aura. It was of Human, and furthermore, weak.

The demon roared and jumped off his horse, brandishing his sword, he slashed towards the human. The robe flew off the figure and flew towards the demon. Laughing loudly, the demon attempted to slash through the robe, only to be knocked back flying from the impact.

Den's ANGELS armor slowly appeared, as thousands of small blades melted together onto his body.

"I am the White Lighting, Den." He shouted.
