Chapter Xl

A skeletal warrior raise his sword high above its head, preparing to finish off a downed paladin when a shockwave hit it and the skeletal warrior shattered into a thousand pieces. Zans pulled the fallen paladin up onto his feet and in a split second later, he laid him down inside the fort.

"Heal him, and let him rest." Zans said, ordering the healer inside the fort. The healer nodded and quickly went to work, closing the paladin's wounds with light shining out of his palm. "Sir, your flash step is amazingly fast. It one of the fastest i've seen." The healer said suddenly. "It's good to know that both you and Lord Zes is so capable." Zans smiled and sighed before he said. "My mentor's faster." Then, Zans once again departed towards the battle with a single flash step, leaving the healer wondering.

Virgil opened his eyes slowly, observing the area around him. The bodies of slain demons laid around him. He got up and jump towards a peak of a high hill in one swift action. He slowly scanned the horizon, and spotted a battle far away. He closed his eyes for a moment and reopened them. This time, his irises had became blood red will a glowing red symbol shinning on his pupil. Then he smiled. "So Zes and Zans are now great fighters. i wonder how it'll be sparing with them." He laughed and shook his head. "I'll kill them." He said before he jumped off the hill and sped off at an incredible speed leaving a trail of red mist behind him. "Let me check this battle out up close."
