Chapter IX

"Thunderclap!!!" Zans shouted as he clapped his hands together forcefully, sending a huge wave of destruction towards Tien. The wave blew past Tien, the huge impact kicked up sand and by the end of the attack, Tien was hidden by the sand. Zans's eyes opened widely in shock. "The attack was that strong?" Zans gasped as he blew the sand away with a mild shockwave, revealing a huge ice dome. Tien smiled as he shattered the ice around him. "You can control ice?" Zans gasped. "A mage being able to control more than one magic source is very rare. Wait, what am i thinking? Saint controlled four different types of magic." Tien laughed as Zans kept mumbling to himself. "Virgil controls Blood and Wind, Shadow controls Fire and Shadow and I control Ice and Soul." Zans laughed as he shook his head slightly. "Well, i guess that concludes our training. I've help you with the basics and skills for three months. Your magic level has also increased. It's time for me to embark on my own training." Tien then sped off, within seconds he was no where to be seen. "Zans! Has Tien left?" Zes shouted as he appeared behind Zans. "Yes. So has Virgil huh?" Zes nodded. "Well, Virgil did say put our new found abillity to good use." Zan nodded before he spoke. "Good luck Tien."


Somewhere very far away from Zes and Zans.

"Are you sure we should just leave them there?" Virgil asked. Shifu nodded and cleared his throat before he spoke. "Like i said before, it is time for the three of you to journey the world and open your eyes and horizon. You aren't the strongest, there are much more stronger mages than you three. Maybe somewhere out there, there may even be someone stronger than your father. " Shifu turned his back on them and gazed toward the setting sun. "Go, let your journey begin. Use your new found heaven's eyes to seek justice, let the world be your training ground. Those brats, they left already."

Some distance away, Virgil, Shadow and Tien bade their goodbyes.

"So i guess we should part, we'll meet again when fates allows." Tien said before he sped away.

"Well, till fate allows then." Shadow said, shaking his head before the faded into the Shadows.

Virgil laughed and disappeared along with a gust of wind. "Let our legends begin." he said before he disappear totally.

Chapter VIII

Zes gaze towards the sky as he mentally prepared himself for the training. He closed his eye for a moment and dark clouds gathered above him. He raised his hand and a huge bolt of lightning struck his hand. The lighting slowly took form as Zes muttered an incantation. Zes then swung his weapon, a crystal spear. Blue lightning coarse powerfully in the middle, giving the spear an blue hue. "So what is your spear's name?" Virgil asked. He was monitering the whole process. "Vermillion. My spear's name is Vermillion." Virgil nodded and approached Zes. He motioned for Zes to attack him. Zes then gripped his spear tightly and with amazing speed he had shifted his position to be behind Virgil. Zes thrust his spear towards Virgil's back, however before the spear's tip reached Virgil, Virgil had already disappear. Zes felt a habd on his shoulder and immediately a huge force fell on him, sinking his body into the ground as Virgil pushed him deeper into the ground. Soon, only his shoulders and head were above ground. "Ouch, how did you do that?" Zes asked as he tried to struggle free of his prison. "Simple, I'm a battle mage, i have a pretty powerful arm. hence, i'm going to train your reflexes and strength before we even touch magic. Let me help you out of there." Virgil said and gripped a little of Zes's robes. He pulled and freed Zes out of the ground, however Virgil released his hold and sent Zes flying high up towards the sky.

"Oops... i guess i used to much strength." Virgil said as he watch Zes start falling quite a distance away. "He should still be alive, i guess."


Zes crashed onto the ground, negating most of the impact by creating a lighting shield around him. He gasped for air as he slowly recovered from shock. He heard some voice and he lifted himself up. The source of the voices was Tien teaching Zans how to use his Thunder magic, or more appropiately called shockwave magic. Tien is so kind, maybe i should have chosen him or Shadow instead of Virgil. Zes thought.

" Okay. I'll punch you and you are to try to negate my force using your shockwaves." Tien said.

Zans nodded and gathered magical energy in his palm. He then clapped his hands together, creating a huge shockwave barrier around him, protecting him from damage. Tien punched and broke the barrier easily, his fist landing on Zans's stomach. Zan's feet lifted off the ground as the impact knocked the air out of him, and sent him flying towards a rock wall. He crashed into the rock wall creating a huge crater. He then dropped to the ground motionless.

"Whoops." Tien said, immediately appearing beside Zans, placing his palm on Zans's back, and white energy surrounded Zans, healing his wound rapidly.

On second thought, i think they're all dangerous. Zes thought as he shook his head slightly pitying his brother. Suddenly, he felt someone gripped his arm. "Slacking are we? Back to training!" Virgil said, and flung Zes into the sky. Zes screamed as he once again propelled high into sky. Virgil glanced at Tien heal Zans before he disappeared with a wave of his cloak.

"I pity those two." Shadow said, having observed everything with Shifu on a far away cliff. "You are the most gentle in training, yet none chose you. It's their lost." Shifu said chuckling. "I do hope they will get stronger, not be killed by those two morons." Shadow said before he closed his eyes and started meditating.

"Good luck, Zes and Zans. You'll need it" Shifu said before he turned and went into nearby cave.
