Chapter XXIII

"Saint's Tien? Right?" The mage asked.

"Um. Yea?"

"OH. MY. GOD. I'm such a huge fan of yours. I mean, i always imagined Tien to be handsome, but you're... wow. i can't believe it.... "

Jing twitched a little.

"..... And OH, my name is Selphina, i'm an ice mage from the city of Genos. Are you free? Why not let's go for a cup of coffee or something?"

"Uh." Tien stopped for awhile, he looked at Jing.

"Sure, why not? Coffee sounds nice."

Sitting down at a nearby cafe, Selphina went on about her life history. However, Tien was distracted. He kept looking at Jing, who was quiet, as usual. But Tien sensed something wrong.

Jing thought deep down.

Why am i feeling like this? Why do i feel something strange when i see them together?

"Soooo... Tien, you got a girlfriend?" Selphina asked.

Tien spilled his coffee.

"Oh my god, you okay?" Selphina rushed to help.

"So, you haven't answered my question. Have you? Or is she your girlfriend?" Selphina said as she pointed at Jing.

Tien took a peek at Jing, who was blushing.

"Well........ not at the mome..."

"GREAT. CAN I BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND?" Selphina shouted.

The whole cafe looked at them.

"Um..." Tien said, while taking another peek at Jing, who was drinking her coffee quietly.

Come on Tien, say no! Quick, tell that woman no. Jing thought.

"O..kay?" Tien replied slowly, while looking slightly at Jing.

Chapter XXII

Jing rushed forward, whispering elven incantation, a power beam of light emerged from her hand, burning the behemoth wherever the beam when. Enraged, the behemoth slammed its fist into the ground hard, so fast that neither of the girls could react.

"You have to be careful." Tien said, at the shoulder of the behemoth, hold both the mage and Jing. The behemoth reached to crush them. However, with a swift S-un, Tien appeared in front of the behemoth's face. A quick kick and the behemoth was lifted off it's feet and flew in the air. With another swift S-un, Tien laid Jing and the girl down on the ground. The behemoth was about to crash into the ground, wrecking the buildings when suddenly its fall stopped. Tien levitated slightly above a building, supporting the behemoth with one hand. The behemoth started to struggle, roaring loudly.

"Freezing Slumber." Tien whispered, immediately the behemoth started to go limp, as if hypnotised. The behemoth started freezing over soon, being completely frozen in a matter of seconds.

"Eras." Tien whispered, and the behemoth shattered into dust.

"Well done, Tien." Jing said smiling.

"Tien?" the mage exclaimed. "Saint's Tien?"

Chapter XXI

Tien stared out at the horizon, deep in thoughts. "Jing. There is a town over there. Do you see it?"

Jing replied, clearly into Tien's mind.

"Yea. You are tired after the long flight, you should get some rest."




An hour later at the town's inn, Jing laid on the bed in her elf form, falling asleep immediately. Tien left his baggage on the table and made his way out of the inn, exploring the city.

It has been one and a half years since I last stepped into a human city. Tien thought to himself, looking at the shop selling their wares on the busy streets. The city was huge, like a capital. Tien wasn't sure, he had been with elves for too long. All of a sudden, a huge earthquake shook the city, a huge explosion erupted from the middle. From the explosion, something huge surfaced, towering over the city blocks.

"Something has escaped from the Clan dungeons!" A civillian shouted beside Tien.
Around 30 men in white robes appeared around the monster, spells ready. They fired the spells however, the spells only bounced off its hard hide. The smoke cleared and the monster could be seen properly. It was a behemoth, and a powerful one at that. Humanoid, and destructively powerful. Not to mention their hides have magic resistance.

Tien felt a powerful aura appear there. Searching for the source, he saw a female mage robed in white flowy material. Her staff was magnificent, glowing in power. She whisper a quick spell and fire a bolt of magic towards the behemoth. The impact knocked the behemoth back a little, causing some damage. The angry behemoth immediately threw a punch at her.

She blocked the impact with a powerful shield spell however. It was cracking from the power of the behemoth.

"You seems to be in a need of a little assistance."

Chapter XX

Virgil looked up at Eva, before disappearing again.

"............"
"NOT AGAIN!" Eva shouted, and turned to the two guards, who had gone hiding.

Virgil went back to the same bar as before. Sitting down, he ordered a glass of tomato juice. And suddenly, the door slammed open.

"STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM ME!!!!!!" Eva screamed.

Virgil looked at her, showing what seemed to be a smile, before turning back to his drink.

"You seriously can't remember me can you?" Eva said. "Guess i'll have to refresh your memory."

at the edge of Vitas, City of the Blood Elves

"Now, that'll teach you something." Eva said, as she walked away from two badly injured thugs.

As she walked out of the valley, she knocked into someone.

"HEY! WHY DON'T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE WALKING!" Eva shouted

The man ignored her, and continued walking on.

"HELLO~ I'M TALKING TO YOU MR TALL AND SCARY!"

The man continued walking on, as if nothing had happened.

"GRRR.. GUARDS!!!!!!!!" Eva suddenly shouted.

Two fierce looking guards appeared behind Eva.

"Yes? Princess?" One of the guards spoke.

"GET HIM!!!!!" Eva shouted, pointing at the man.

"YES!"

The guards ran towards the man, only to be thrown back.

Virgil turned clearly irritated. However, Eva had S-un forward, attempting to backstab him. Their lips met.

Virgil S-un backwards, and Eva stood there stunned.

"Pervert." Virgil said, before he vanished from their sight.

Present day

"Remember me now?" Eva asked.

Virgil nodded. "You're that pervert."

"Hey! That was my very first KISS!" She screamed.

The whole bar turned and looked at her.

"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?" She screamed at the people around her.

She shift her attention back to Virgil, who had disappeared.

A loud, high pitched scream shook the bar.

Chapter XIX

Virgil appeared in front of the bolt, with a swift S-un. Absorbing the bolt, Virgil felt his hand burn from the power.

"COME ON VIRGIL! SHOW ME YOUR TRUE POWER!"

Virgil hesitated for a moment.

"I will show you my power, but it will only be for an instant."

He lifted his arm, showing 5 rings, one on each finger. Slowly, he removed one. Immediately, Virgil's aura soared. Eva and her guards shivered in the presense of Virgil's dominant aura, falling to their knees.

"HAHAHAHAH! NOW THAT'S MORE LIKE IT! THAT'S WHAT I'VE EXPECTED FROM THE GREAT VIRGIL!"

"Don't blink" Virgil said. "Or you'll miss it."

"MISS IT? HAHAHA! WHO DO YOU THI..."

Valer stopped. He felt something within his body moving.
He looked up at where Virgil is.

He was gone.

"Looking for me?"

Valer looked behind him.
It was Virgil.
Valer noted that the ring had gone back to his finger.

"WHAT IS THIS! FIGHT ME VIRGIL!"

"It's pointless now."

As the words came, Valer bursted with blood, and as he fell dead, he saw Virgil speaking softly.

Blood Pheonix

But it was too late, he couldn't hear.

The blood then gathered in the air, forming what seemed to be a bird.

Glowing red, it flew and rested on Virgil's arm, before vanishing into Virgil body, leaving only a red feather which rested on Valer's body.

"Oh my gosh... He is so cool!" Eva screamed in delight, shaking one of her guards. "Did you see that? Did you see that?"

The poor guard could only nod in response.

Chapter XVIII

The door burst open, flying off it's hinges. A blood bolt shot from within the house, striking Virgil in the chest. The impact only made Virgil cough, not enough to do any damage at all.

"Valer, give up. You and I both know you can't win me." Virgil said.

Valer walked out from the shadow, his face scarred with blood incantations, a sure sign of someone using dark blood magic. "You don't understand Virgil. Just a few more and my research will be complete!" He said, approaching Virgil. " A few more and i finish the transformation!"

Virgil closed his eyes in disgust. "You have fallen to the darkness, Valer. Get help."

"NO!" Valer screamed. "Did you know what i when through to reach my powers now?"

"Give up, or i'll bring you down myself."

Virgil created a ball of red energy in his palm. "Don't make me do this Valer."

Valer hesitated, before he nodded in submission. The energy ball vanished from Virgil's palm. All of a sudden, Valer's head snapped back, the veins on his body enlarged until they were all visible. A ball of energy gather in Valer's hands.

A huge explosion shook the town, as Virgil flew out of the house, crashing into the house behind him.

"YOU FORCED ME VIRGIL! NOW, YOU MUST DIE!" Valer said, his voice echoed throught the whole area. Sending tremors throught the city.

Eva and her guards S-un to a nearby roof, checking the cause of the explosion. Only to see Valer fire a bolt of blood towards them.

Chapter XVII

Virgil took his drink and drank it. He laid some money on the counter, and prepared to leave. Eva and the guards stopped him.

"You have to come back with..." eva said, before Virgil suddenly vanished from her sight.
"He's gone again!" She screamed lifting a nearby table up and threw it at her guards. "It's all your fault!"

Virgil meanwhile roam the backalley of the town, looking for the vampire. Or rather, someone he knew, a fellow mage who uses blood magic, only that he has fallen into the darker side of the magic.

He reached the area where the last victim died, Virgil touched the dried blood on the wall, he whispered an incantation. Suddenly, visions flood into Virgil's mind. The blood wasn't of the victim, it was of the killer. Now, Virgil knew exactly where he was.

Chapter XVI

"I seriously have no time for this." Virgil said and with a swift Su-n, he appeared on a roof far away.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! HE GOT AWAY AGAIN!" Eva shouted and started to wallop the two other Guards that came with her.

That girl looks familar.
Virgil thought as he landed at the entrance of a nearby bar
Oh well.

"That's some Su-n my friend" The bartender said.
Virgil ignored the bartender and sat down.

"THERE YOU ARE!" A familar voice shouted.
Virgil turned to look, hoping that it wasn't Eva.

"I KNEW YOU'LL BE HERE!" Eva shouted as she came in with two badly bruised Guards.

"........... You know, you're starting to irritate me."

"Ooooo... Looks like I've got your attention." Eva said and winked at Virgil.
"you haven't forgotten me have you?" Eva asked.

".... I KNOW YOU?" Virgil asked back.

"............."

"Um. Shouldn't we be capturing him now Eva?" One of the guards asked.
"Yea, isn't he the vampire that has been roaming around recently?"

"Vampire?" Virgil asked.
"Yea yea, some bloodsucking moron has been here killing random people." Eva said.
".... So why me?"

"Well, the killer always leaves a huge V symbol at the scene of crime, and your name starts with a V." Eva said.

"Did you say a huge V symbol?" Virgil asked.
"Yea, why?"
"Got a picture of it?"

Eva took a small paper out from her robes, and showed it to Virgil.

".... It's him." Virgil said.

CHAPTER XV

"GIMMIE YOUR MONEY! OR ELSE!" a thug shouted at a hooded figure, who's face was covered by the shadows of the night.

"COMEON MAN! I DON'T HAVE ALL N......!"
The thug dropped dead, a dried corpse.

The hooded figure left the dead thug, and left a huge V symbol on the wall.

the next morning

"THERE HE IS!"
"GET HIM! GET THE VAMPIRE!"

A crowd surrounded Virgil.
"That's the guy! I saw him last night!" a young lady shouted.
"You sure that's him, Eva?" someone from the crowd asked.
"oh yea i'm sure." Eva said, winking at Virgil.

Virgil was cloaked in his usual red dragon-hide robe. He looked around at the crowd surrounding him.

"There must be a mistake, i just got into town." Virgil said. He continued forward, however was blocked by the crowd. "I have no time for this." Virgil shouted in anger and frustration. With a swift S-un, he landed on the roof of the shops above the crowds. Virgil then started running and was far from the crowd. Just then, three people appeared in front of him with weapons, stopping him from proceeding.

"Not bad, Virgil, son of saint." The girl called Eva said. With a snap of her fingers, her human form vanished. Eva now looked elvish. Her eyes radiate red, her skintone was human like, however, slightly more pale. Her white hair flowing with the wind. "I am Eva, Knight of Therion, and daugther of Crimson, Leader of the Blood Elves."

She raised her weapon. "Prepare to pay your debt in blood." She suddenly smiled and said. "You're cute by the way."

Virgil stared at her emotionless, clearly bored.

CHAPTER XIV

Tien slowly awoke from his sleep, the sun shining into the room, flooding him with warmth. He got off the bed and slowly made his way out. He lift his hand high up above him towards the sun.

"Les'dra FestiLiA MescIAs" he whispered. Immediately, from the horizon, a huge snake-like creature appeared. Flying towards Tien at an amazingly high speed. Just before the creature reached Tien, it shapeshift into a human-like form and landed neatly beside him.

"How may i serve u today, my master?" She said. Tien smiled. "I prefer you in your dragon form." he said. "You're too pretty in human form." Tien said, admiring her pale skin radiate the light from the sun. Her armour which were made from her scales. The last Dragon Elf alive.

"Jing. I have to set out to the mainland. Can you last the journey?" Tien said.

She nodded and walk off Tien's home, atop a high tree that was a tall as the surrounding mountains. Levitating on the air, she transformed into a magnificent oriental dragon, her red scales gleaming in the sunlight. Tien smiled and mount her. With a roar, they flew away from the Elven City, Artinras.


Jing smiled.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine as long as there isn't any big bloodshed."

CHAPTER XIII

As Shadow swung his weapon, the Skeleton General quickly Su-n to a safe place. "So... you thought you could hit me with that weak blow? Don't make me laugh." The General taunted. "Weak eh? Look properly." as the words came out of Shadow's mouth,the General felt something break. It was the side of his ribcage. "What the..?" the General looked at Shadow's cocky face, and continued. "HAHAHA. LOOKS LIKE I CAN HAVE SOME FUN WITH YOU." The Skeleton General suddenly Su-n away, appearing behind Shadow he swung his blade with extreme force and sliced through Shadow. "Guess you weren't that fun after all." Shadow's body suddenly disppeared, and the General's sword caught fire. The fire quickly spread towards the body.

Sensing the danger, the General quickly dropped his sword and tried to sense for Shadow, but with the ring on Shadow, the Skeleton General couldn't sense him at all.

"Hahahaha. I thought you said i wasn't fun?" a voice echoed. "How's this for fun?"

The General immediately felt himself burning up without warning.
"WHAT THE? HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS! WHERE ARE YOU! SHOW YOURSELF!" The General shouted.
"Show myself? And spoil the fun? Hmmm. OKAY." a voiced replied.
As the words ended, The burning general saw a huge shadow appearing from behind.
"Hi."
Shadow appeared, as big as a city gate, and looked down at the General.
"Having fun?"
Shadow snapped a finger and the flames on the General immediately extinguished.
"I KNEW IT! THIS IS JUST AN ILLUSION! I WILL BREAK THIS ILLUSION AND KILL YOU!"
"An illusion? You sure?"
Blue flames ignited on Shadow's blade as he slice the skeleton into two.
"WHA-?"

The general gasped in fright, however, he knew he was alright. Shadow had disappeared, then the world went black as his skull got shattered with a mighty swing from Shadow's sword.

The general screamed once again, still alive. Then, Shadow appeared in front of him and broke a rib from his ribcage and smash it onto the skull, shattering it again.

Alive... The general knew he was alive. He sensed something, he turned and felt the very bones of his body melt from dark blue flames.

He was alive. He died. He lived. He died. He lost count.

"JUST KILL ME... OR I'LL KILL MYSELF!" The general screamed finally knowing he had been completely defeated.

"There is no need for me to do anything now." Shadow said, closing his eyes. The general felt a gust of wind blew through him. Finally, his bones became powder and the last of his body disappeared with the wind..
