Chapter XLII

Shadow walked silently along the deserted hidden alleyways, his ragged robe barely covering his shiny dragonhide armor underneath. All of a sudden, he froze. Turning around quickly, he scanned the surroundings.

"Come out." He said. "I know you're there."

"Well, i am glad you have improved." said someone behind Shadow. Shadow took a deep breath, and spun around. He groaned when he saw who it was.

Shifu sat on his staff, levitating acting as a chair, while he enjoyed his tea. "Shadow, i feel i have to be honest with you." Shifu started after finishing his tea, and looked into Shadow's eyes. "I am your real father."

"WHAT?" Shadow said in shock.

Shifu then burst out laughing, and his staff floated higher into the air. "I was just playing with you." Shifu said laughing and Shadow swore under his breath. "I heard that, young Shadow." Shifu said, already very high above. "Tell them, i visited." and Shifu disappeared in an explosion of mist.
