Chapter XLIVDen glaced at the black portal, he knew it was trouble, and his fears were confirmed when the demonian troops jumped out of the portal, their numbers increasing as more made way through the portal.
Slashing furiously, he tried to fight his way towards the demon holding the portal open, however as their numbers increase, he was having a harder time making his way closer. All of a sudden, a huge mace hit his sword and he flew backwards from the impact. Quickly steading himself, he looked for who swung the mace. It was like one of them, except he had a white diamond on it's helmet.
"Demonian troops." Tien said, walking beside Den. "The one with the diamond mark is a elite."
"Well, we're going to have more trouble." Den said, pointing towards the portal where more diamond marked helmets were coming out.
"Jing! We have to kill that demon holding open the portal now!" Tien said, rushing forward.
Jing ran behind him and jumped up into the air, her katana's blade glowing with power as she slashed, sending a wave of purple flames towards the demons, burning many. Tien smash through the demons, rushing towards the source of the portal when he felt something hit him, he flew backwards, crashing to the ground, his chest in agony.
A new demon emerge from the portal, it's bolt of demonic energy had sent Tien flying. Floating over the heads of the troops, it laughed. "uidismaafra leterer kaskdas" before he pointed at Jing who was rushing towards him. Jing could only blink in surprise as she flew back, smashing into many deserted houses and finally stopped.
Den looked at the new demon, it had bluish skin, it's eyes were glowing red and his forked tongue constantly tasting the air. It was basically humanoid, only the bonelike blade appearing from its arm seemingly weird.
"Clan Ability, Aura Eyes" Den said, closing his eyes and reopened them. The outer rims of his pupils were glowing white. He could now see very clearly the aura of the demon. It was like a blackish fog, and very dense and large. However, he was distracted by Tien. His magical powers and aura was emitting from his ring, not his body.
"No way..." Den gasped in shock. "He's a soul clone."
Den felt his chest compress suddenly, and he dropped to the ground screaming in pain. The demon had just cast a spell on him, enjoying watching Den suffer. Tien stood up and gathered energy in his right arm, leaping towards the demon he punched. The power of the punch killed many demons troops as they stood at attention, not moving. However, the demon was no where to be seen. Tien knew the answer immediately, as he felt it's hand grip his throat, tearing it from his body. His limp body then fell to the ground.
Very far awayTien held his throat, falling to his knees. Slowly a symbol appeared on the ground around him.
"The spell worked, you will be sent to where your clone died." The old immortal librarian said.
"Will it hurt?" Tien asked, still blindfolded.
"Not at all."
With a flash of brilliant white light, Tien vanished from the library.
"I forgot to remove the blindfold." The librarian realised. "Too bad..."
-------------------------------------------------------
The demon sheilded it's eyes against the blinding light erupted from Tien's clone body. As the light disappeared it made out someone standing where the body once was.
"OW! OW! OW! THAT REALLY HURT!" Tien screamed. "..... he lied to me.... wait, the blindfold is still on." Pulling on it, he found it wouldn't loosen at all. "That idiot didn't tell me how to remove it!"
"DAMNNIT!" Tien finally shouted and with a huge explosion blew up the blindfold. Rubbing his eyes, and allowing it to adjust to the light he made out the enormous amount of demons looking at him.
"ummm... Hello?" Tien waved at them.
