Chapter XLVIt was a starless night. The borderlands lay quiet and empty.
Shadow quickens his pace as he inspect the final barrier that separates the land of Kerios and Demonia. He was half-walking, half-running in his invisible form.
"Never knew walking and running could be that tiring" He muttered.
"I wish i could just teleport."
"Yea right, and trigger all the hidden alarms?" A voice in his head echoed.
Somehow that voice sounded vaguely familar.
Shadow thought, chuckling to himself.
He arrived at an edge of a very high cliff, still invisible, he stood there looking at a nearby town.
They'll never know what hit them if this barrier ever breaks down. He thought to himself.
He was about to turn and leave when he felt two presence that made him freeze in his tracks.
And one presence seemed somewhat familiar...
Shadow looked around, but he saw no one.
"My... my lord... I bring you grave news." A shaky voice said suddenly.
"Leave your message, and begone."
A demon slowly materialize, a frantic look in his eyes... in its hands was a black parchment.
